Barack Hussein Obama wants the end of Ramadan to become a public holiday.
Barack Hussein Obama wants the end of Ramadan to become a public holiday. (Yahoo).[GoogleTranslated].
The President of the United States wished, Thursday, July 16, a "Happy Eid" to all Muslims. A kind word in anticipation of the feast of Eid al-Fitr which marks the end of fasting. Barack Obama took the opportunity to say they want to make this an official holiday in the future to remind all Americans of the importance of respect for all beliefs.
"Happy Eid! ". It is in these terms that the President of the United States wished, Thursday, July 16, a good feast of Eid el-Fitr to all Muslims. This traditional festival officially marks the end of Ramadan, after a month of fasting.
Barack Obama took the opportunity to declare his wish to see this day become an official holiday because it would be "a way to remind all Americans that it is important to respect all beliefs and religion," he said in a statement*.
For the latter, the 44th President of the United States wished to commend the initiative of the city of New York, who recently decided to add two Muslim holidays with days off in its schools. New York holidays for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
The mayor of New York, Bill de Blasio, has in fact decided to make public for the two Muslim holidays schoolchildren: Eid al-Fitr and Eid el-Kebir. The measure will be effective from the beginning of September. Incidentally, Barack Obama still says: "It is a recognition of diversity and inclusiveness which add to the wealth of our nation." Hmmm.......So lets recognize all Jewish , Hindu and Buddhist holidays as well....to respect ALL Beliefs.
My guess Yahoo needs a better translator English - French. I can't find this statement* in English.
