The Obama Flag: Who Decided That It Was Okay To Replace The Stars On The American Flag With The Face Of Barack Obama?
The Obama Flag: Who Decided That It Was Okay To Replace The Stars On The American Flag With The Face Of Barack Obama?(BLN).By Michael Snyder.Democrat Party headquarters in Lake County, Florida has been flying an American flag with a face of Barack Obama on it. Yes, you read that correctly.
The "Obama flag" features a huge picture of the face of Barack Obama in the area where the stars are usually located. To many Americans today, the American flag may be "just a piece of cloth", but when I was young I was taught that one must never desecrate the American flag. The American flag is our highest national symbol. Millions of Americans have fought and died defending freedom and liberty under that banner. To see a photo of Barack Obama plastered on it is an absolute disgrace.
Sadly, there are lots of these flags floating around. In fact, you can buy them online for $12.95. Down in Florida, the chairwoman of the Lake County Democratic Party took down the "Obama flag" after a group of veterans protested, but she also said that she is not promising that she will not put it back up and that she is going to consult an attorney about all of this.
Needless to say, a lot of veterans had steam coming out of their ears when they heard about the Obama flag. Korean war veteran Don Van Beck said that he was absolutely furious when he saw what they had done to the American flag....
"I can't describe how upset was because you just don't do that to the American flag"Van Beck was one of the vets that confronted the chairwoman of the Lake County Democratic Party (Nancy Hurlbert) about this flag.
One local news report detailed the tense moment that occurred when the vets asked that the flag be taken down:
'There are laws against desecrating the flag,' Van Beck said, right before he read out loud the federal flag code, public law 344, section 4G to Hurlbert: 'The flag should never have placed upon it or any part of it, any marks, insignia, letters, words, figures, designs, picture or drawings of any nature. We would like to ask you to take it down please.'Thankfully the Obama flag was eventually taken down because who knows what those vets would have done if it had kept flying. A lot of old vets may have aging bodies, but their spirits are still very much alive.
Ex-marine John Masterjohn was also incredibly upset when he learned about the Obama flag. He compared this flag to what we have seen from some of the worst totalitarian regimes in history:
Joseph Stalin, pictures of Mao, pictures of Adolph Hitler. The pomp, the ceremony -- the flag's like thatAnd that is exactly what this Obama flag reminds me of. It reminds me of pictures of Chairman Mao plastered everywhere:
Socialists and communists always love to create a "cult of personality." They always love to exalt their "dear leaders" to godlike status.
Shockingly, the Democrats in Florida are not even apologizing. In fact, they seem rather proud of the Obama flag.
A statement from the Lake County Democratic Headquarters said the following:
We were given this as a gift. We are proud of our president, we’re proud of the United States, and we felt it was time to display that. Can you believe that? But that is not even the worst part. What Nancy Hurlbert, the chairwoman of the Lake County Democratic Party, had to say about all of this was absolutely disgraceful:
'It leads me to believe that it's not about the flag,' she told FoxNews.com. 'Certain elements cannot accept Barack Obama as president.'Is she serious? We should just accept the face of Barack Obama being plastered on the American flag?
This is just another sign of how far we have fallen as a nation. America is not the same place that it used to be and people better wake up.Hmmmm.........My question is How many more of these flags are there around at 'Democratic headquarters'?Read the full story here.
Aren't you glad you voted for Obama?American ISPs to launch massive copyright spying scheme on July 12.
Aren't you glad you voted for Obama?American ISPs to launch massive copyright spying scheme on July 12.(Rawstory).
If you download potentially copyrighted software, videos or music, your Internet service provider (ISP) has been watching, and they’re coming for you.
Specifically, they’re coming for you on Thursday, July 12.
That’s the date when the nation’s largest ISPs will all voluntarily implement a new anti-piracy plan that will engage network operators in the largest digital spying scheme in history, and see some users’ bandwidth completely cut off until they sign an agreement saying they will not download copyrighted materials.
Word of the start date has been largely kept secret since ISPs announced their plans last June. The deal was brokered by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), and coordinated by the Obama Administration. The same groups have weighed in heavily on controversial Internet policies around the world, with similar facilitation by the Obama’s Administration’s State Department.
The July 12 date was revealed by the RIAA’s CEO and top lobbyist, Cary Sherman, during a publishers’ conference on Wednesday in New York, according to technology publication CNet.
The content industries calls this scheme a “graduated response” plan, which will see Time Warner Cable, Cablevision, Comcast, Verizon, AT&T and others spying on users’ Internet activities and watching for potential copyright infringement. Users who are “caught” infringing on a creator’s protected work can then be interrupted with a notice that piracy is forbidden by law and carries penalties of up to $150,000 per infringement, requiring the user to click through saying they understand the consequences before bandwidth is restored, and they could still be subject to copyright infringement lawsuits.Hmmmm........Not the kind of "CHANGE" you had in mind....did you?Read the full story here.
Convicted Terrorist Leader admits Muslim American Society is arm of Muslim Brotherhood.(Shoebat).It’s not like we didn’t know this already but when a convicted terrorist admits to it under oath, fewer people can avoid realities like this one, which is exactly what far too many people seem to do. The latest example comes courtesy of convicted terrorist, Abdurrahman Alamoudi.
The Muslim American Society (MAS) was created as a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood in America, and continues to serve that function today, a man who once was one of the most influential Muslim political leaders testified in a Virginia courtroom Wednesday.
“Everyone knows that MAS is the Muslim Brotherhood,” Abdurrahman Alamoudi told federal investigators in a January interview from a federal correctional facility. On the witness stand, Alamoudi claimed not to remember everything he said, but accepted that he had made the statement after government lawyers showed him records of the interview.
Discover the Networks has this to say about MAS:
Both the MSA and the ISNA were listed on a 1991 Muslim Brotherhood document as member organizations. With Alamoudi’s confession, MAS qualified to be on the list as well but it was founded one year later, in 1992.
As for the reason why Alamoudi was in court this week, IPT explains:
His (Alamoudi) testimony Wednesday came as part of a civil suit brought by Jamal Abusamhadaneh against the government demanding he be naturalized as an American citizen. His application was denied after officials learned he lied about being associated with the Muslim American Society, failing to disclose the association on his naturalization application. In a subsequent interview, an immigration official further pressed him to reveal his connection to MAS or the Brotherhood, but he repeatedly denied ties to each.
One of the more absurd revelations to come from IPT’s article involved claims made by Abusamhadaneh’s attorney:
Alamoudi, who had signed a work visa for Abusamhadaneh, was the original source for information about the plaintiff’s Brotherhood ties. Abusamhadaneh claims he was following the advice of his attorney at the time, Ashraf Nubani, who told him affiliations with religious organizations do not need to be disclosed to the government. He also says he never was a dues paying MAS member, although he acknowledges attending many of the organization’s events.
Nubani testified that neither the Muslim Brotherhood nor MAS were political organizations, so he didn’t think his client had any reason to disclose such ties, were they to exist. Rather, he claimed that both organizations were simply non-violent religious organizations that believed “Islam should not be confined to one aspect of life” and “in Islam church and state aren’t separate.”A simple look at the Arab Spring’s biggest political beneficiary – the Muslim Brotherhood – debunks that testimony in two seconds. Such a statement by Nubani should be grounds for a perjury or contempt charge.
As for the importance of Alamoudi’s admission that MAS is a Muslim Brotherhood entity…
…Alamoudi’s testimony is significant because he acknowledges being part of the Brotherhood and was active when MAS was formed in 1993. In addition, MAS officials have claimed that they may have had roots in the Brotherhood, but those dissipated over time. And of course, Alamoudi also appears to be the quintessential example of a practitioner of Muruna.

Non excisting state Palestine to Submit 20 Christian and Jewish Sites for UNESCO World Heritage Site Nomination.
Non excisting state Palestine to Submit 20 Christian and Jewish Sites for UNESCO World Heritage Site Nomination.(AD).Ancient historic sites such as the Church of the Nativity, the Old City of Hebron and the Qumran caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, to be included.
On its first day as a full-fledged UNESCO member state, Palestinian officials wasted no time announcing plans to submit the names of 20 sites in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza for nomination to the World Heritage List.
Within the next few days, we will submit a tentative list of 20 sites to be added to the list, Omar Awadallah, head of the U.N. department at the Palestinian foreign ministry, told the AFP. From today we are a full party as a state so now we can start all the things that states can do within the rules of the convention; one of them is that we can submit our list to the World Heritage Committee.
The list includes historic sites like Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity (believed to be the birthplace of Jesus Christ), the Old City of Hebron, the Qumran caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, and Umayyad Palaces like Khirbat al Mafjar.
Last fall, a vote by UNESCO members granted full membership to Palestine, but not without serious costs. The U.S. immediately withdrew its support for the organization - about 22 percent of the group's annual budget. UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova launched a multi-donor Emergency Fund, which has so far received close to $30 million in contributions from Gabon, the Republic of Congo, Indonesia, East Timor, Iceland, Turkey, Cameroon, Kazakhstan, Belize and others.
Until today, Palestine - home to some of the most historic and sensitive sites on the planet - could not formally submit any properties for nomination to the World Heritage List, which recognizes cultural and natural heritage sites with outstanding universal value. Once the tentative list is submitted, it will act as an inventory of the locations Palestinian authorities wish to register. The finalized list will be presented when the World Heritage Committee holds its annual meeting in June to discuss which sites to accept.Hmmmmm......How to become a 'state' steal others their heritage and get paid by US taxpayers.Read the full 'story' here.
Taliban call off confidence-building talks, did Obama already release the Gitmo Taliban prisoners? (AA).The Taliban broke off confidence-building talks with the Americans on Thursday and the Afghan president ordered U.S. troops out of villages, demanding control in 2013.
“It was due to their alternating and ever-changing position that the Islamic Emirate was compelled to suspend all dialogue with the Americans,” the Taliban said on their website, according to AFP news agency.
Although the Taliban made no mention of an unprecedented shooting spree by an American soldier who killed 16 Afghan civilians on Sunday, it is believed the incident, alongside last month’s burning of Qurans at a U.S. base has frayed Afghan-U.S. ties.
In Kabul, visiting U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and Karzai gave radically different versions of talks between the two men, after the Americans insisted that recent events would not see U.S.-led NATO combat troops withdraw earlier than scheduled in 2014.
“We’re ready to take over all security responsibilities now,” Karzai’s spokesman Aimal Faizi quoted him as telling Panetta. “We’d prefer that the process be completed in 2013, not 2014,” he told AFP.
Karzai then told Panetta that U.S.-led international forces should “be withdrawn from villages and relocated in their bases,” his office said.
It was not immediately clear how many American bases may be affected by Karzai’s demand, as the United States previously disbanded a number of outposts in a bid to concentrate on securing major towns from Taliban influence.Nor was there any immediate response from NATO or Panetta, who told reporters after his Karzai talks that he was “confident” both sides could work out a treaty allowing a U.S. military presence in the country beyond 2014.
The defense chief said he was optimistic that both sides would reach an agreement on controversial night raids − a major issue blocking the treaty − ahead of a NATO summit in Chicago in May.
Karzai objects to the raids on the grounds that they violate the sanctity of Afghan families in their own homes and that they are responsible for many civilian deaths − a claim the U.S. disputes.
The treaty being negotiated is supposed to cover Afghan-U.S. relations beyond 2014, with the United States reportedly keen to maintain a foothold in a country to help prevent it from once again becoming a haven for al-Qaeda.Meanwhile, U.S. officials declined to comment Thursday on why the Taliban had suspended contacts with American representatives in Qatar, even before a nascent bid to promote peace talks got off the ground.
“Reconciliation is an Afghan-led process and it needs to stay that way. I don’t think we’re going to comment or characterize the Taliban statement,” Pentagon spokesman George Little told reporters in Abu Dhabi, where US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta arrived for talks after a two-day visit to Afghanistan.Hmmmm.....Five top Taliban leaders held by the United States in the Guantanamo Bay military prison told a visiting Afghan delegation they would accept a proposed transfer to the gulf state of Qatar.WHERE are they Now?Read the full story here.
Saudi Grand Mufti Calls for "Destruction of All Churches in Region".(MEForum).by Raymond Ibrahim.Jihad Watch.
According to several Arabic news sources, last Monday, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, declared that it is "necessary to destroy all the churches of the region."
The Grand Mufti made his assertion in response to a question posed by a delegation from Kuwait: a Kuwaiti parliament member recently called for the "removal" of churches (he later "clarified" by saying he merely meant that no churches should be built in Kuwait), and the delegation wanted to confirm Sharia's position on churches.
Accordingly, the Grand Mufti "stressed that Kuwait was a part of the Arabian Peninsula, and therefore it is necessary to destroy all churches in it."
As with many grand muftis before him, the Sheikh based his proclamation on the famous tradition, or hadith, wherein the prophet of Islam declared on his deathbed that "There are not to be two religions in the [Arabian] Peninsula," which has always been interpreted to mean that only Islam can be practiced in the region.
While the facts of this account speak for themselves, consider further:
Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah is not just some random Muslim hating on churches. He is the Grand Mufti of the nation that brought Islam to the world.
Moreover, he is the President of the Supreme Council of Ulema [Islamic scholars] and Chairman of the Standing Committee for Scientific Research and Issuing of Fatwas. Accordingly, when it comes to what Islam teaches, his words are immensely authoritative.
Considering the hysteria that besets the West whenever non-authoritative individuals offend Islam—for instance, a fringe, unknown pastor—imagine what would happen if a Christian counterpart to the Grand Mufti, say the Pope, were to declare that all mosques in Italy must be destroyed; imagine the nonstop Western media frenzy that would erupt, all the shrill screams of "intolerance" and "bigot," demands for apologies if not resignation, nonstop handwringing by sensitive politicians, and worse.
Yet the Grand Mufti—the highest Islamic law authority of our "friend-and-ally" Saudi Arabia—gets a free pass when he incites Muslims to destroy churches, not that any extra incitement is needed (nary a month goes by without several churches being bombed and destroyed throughout the Islamic world). In fact, at the time of this writing, I have not seen this story, already some three days old, translated on any English news source, though "newsworthy" stories are often translated in mere hours.
Likewise, consider the significance of the Grand Mufti's rationale for destroying churches: it is simply based on a hadith.
But when non-Muslims evoke hadiths—this one or the countless others that incite violence and intolerance against the "infidel"—they are accused of being "Islamophobes," of intentionally slandering and misrepresenting Islam, of being obstacles on the road to "dialogue," and so forth.
Which leads to perhaps the most important point: Islam's teachings are so easily ascertained; there is no mystery in determining what is "right" and "wrong" in Islam. The Grand Mufti based his fatwa on a canonical hadith, which Muslims and (informed) non-Muslims know is part of Islam's sources of jurisprudence (or usul al-fiqh).
And yet the West—with all its institutions of higher learning, including governmental agencies dealing with cultural and religious questions—is still thoroughly "confused" as to what Islam teaches.
All of this is nothing short of a scandal—a reminder of just how deep the mainstream media, academia, and most politicians have their collective heads thrust in the sand.
Meanwhile, here is the latest piece of evidence of just how bad churches have it in the Muslim world, for those who care to know.

Egyptian MP proposes Crucifixions as Punishment for Crimes.(Shoebat).An Egyptian Member of Parliament from the Nour Party (Salafist) has announced that he would like to see strict enforcement of Sharia law relative to punishment for various forms of criminal behavior. That punishment would include crucifixion.
Via the Egyptian Independent: The People’s Assembly Proposals and Complaints Committee discussed in a meeting Tuesday a bill proposed by MP Adel Azzazy from the Salafi-oriented Nour Party that would apply Islamic law for certain crimes.
The proposed law calls for the application of “Heraba,” an Islamic penalty for criminal actions that include overt robbery, murder, forcible taking of property with a weapon and vandalizing public facilities.
The penalties according to Azzazy’s bill are execution in the case of murder, or cutting one arm and one leg from opposite sides of the culprit’s body in the cases of robbery and forcible taking of property.
If the taking of possessions is accompanied by murder, the penalty would be death or crucifixion, to be determined by the judge.
Remember, the primary difference between Salafists and the Muslim Brotherhood is that the latter believes in muruna or the lifting of prohibitions to portray itself as more secular and moderate while the former uses no such deceit. Both groups seek the same ends, just different means. However, in the case of this bill, at least one Muslim Brotherhood MP supports it.
MP Gamal Heshmat from the Muslim Brotherhood’s Freedom and Justice Party praised the bill. He said that under former People’s Assembly Speaker Sufi Abu Taleb, draft laws were adjusted to match Islamic Sharia but were later shelved intentionally.
If these punishments are for Muslims, what do you think they have in mind for infidels?Hmmmm.......Tourism to Egypt is down by 30+ procent, Gee....i wonder why?Read the full story here.HT: Jihad Watch
Video - Egyptian Presidential Candidate Abd Al-Mun'im Abu Al-Futuh: "If the US Wants to Cut Off Its Aid to Egypt, We Will Cut Off Its Interests in Egypt"
Abd Al-Mun'im Abu Al-Futuh : We will not maintain relations with anyone who harms the interests of Egypt. Relations must be to the benefit of Egypt. Of course, if we maintain relations that benefit Egypt, the other side also…
Interviewer : What is your position with regard to the US aid?
Abd Al-Mun'im Abu Al-Futuh : The US aid is not really aid. The US gives Egypt money in return for its interests in Egypt. If the US wants to cut off its aid to Egypt, we will cut off its interests in Egypt. That's it – tit for tat. That is an international principle – interests in return for interests. Diplomatic relations are not a charity organization. The US has not opened a charity organization out of sympathy for the Egyptian people, giving us 1.2 billion dollars every year. No, its aid is for the sake of its interests.
Interviewer : Did you say that you recognize Israel, and that Palestine must recognize it as well?
Abd Al-Mun'im Abu Al-Futuh : I have not recognized Israel to this day, and will not recognize Israel. My refusal, as an Egyptian, to recognize it is part of what I believe in. I will not lie to the Egyptian people. But my refusal to recognize Israel does not mean, in any way, that I will impose my view upon the Egyptian parliament or upon the Egyptian people, or that I will impose what I believe in at the expense of Egypt's interests. PM Netanyahu addresses Knesset plenum.(IMRA).During my recent visit to Washington, I set two goals: the first goal was to clarify that Israel has the right to defend itself by itself against any
danger. The second goal was to raise the threat of Iran's nuclear armament to the top of the international community's list of priorities.
Note: By law, 40 Members of the Knesset are needed to summon the Prime Minister for a discussion in the plenum on a subject of their choice. This may be done once a month.
Before I begin, I would like to thank the residents in the South and the heads of local authorities there, the IDF commanders and soldiers and the Israel Security Agency.
It is said that the job of Prime Minister of Israel is one of the most complex ones in the world. I can tell you from experience: there is truth to this statement, but even during difficult hours, there are moments that give one small comfort and warm the heart. This was the case this week when I met
with the Iron Dome soldiers, men and women who are protecting all our homes.By the way, in the age of missiles this statement is very accurate. They are protecting our homes. There were soldiers there who were from the area, from Ashdod, but also from the Galilee. They are protecting all our homes. I felt the same way when I met with the residents of the South and their heads of the local authorities. They are an important component in our national resilience. Therefore, I am certain that I speak for all the members of Knesset when I say that I salute them all. They certainly deserve it.
I would like to clarify that there is no such thing as hermetic defense and there never will be. The combination of offensive readiness, defensive readiness and national resilience is a winning combination and we must nurture it.
I would like to say something to my colleagues, the Ministers and members of Knesset. During my recent visit to Washington, I set two goals:
the first goal was to clarify that Israel has the right to defend itself by itself against any danger.
The second goal was to raise the threat of Iran's nuclear armament to the top of the international community's list of priorities.
With regard to the first goal, the recognition of Israel's right to defend itself - there are those for whom this right seems self-evident. However, we had a previous Prime Minister, important and wise - Menachem Begin - who said that sometimes it is important to restate that which is self-evident.
So I decided to do that, forcefully. Israel has the right to defend itself and, if necessary, to realize that right. This position was positively received in the United States, I would even say in the most profound way.
This position has earned absolute support from the American people. It has earned resounding approval in the Congress. I heard it from the Senate, the House of Representatives, the Democratic leadership, the Republican leadership - from everyone. And it has also earned official recognition from the White House.
President Obama told me very explicitly during my visit, and I quote, "Israel must have the ability to defend itself, by itself, against any threat." He also added, "Israel has the sovereign right to make its own decisions with regard to its security."
I appreciate the President's statements, and I appreciate the deep and staunch alliance we have with the United States of America. As I said in Washington, in light of what is occurring in our region, in the Middle East and even beyond, this alliance between Israel and the US is prominent.
However, there is something even more prominent and that is our right, our duty, to be the masters of our own fate.Israel has never left its fate in the hands of others, not even in the hands
of our best friends.
This is the supreme duty I am charged with as Prime Minister of Israel. It is the supreme duty all Prime Ministers of Israel are charged with. It was this duty that David Ben-Gurion upheld when he declared the establishment of the country in 1948.
The American then-Secretary of State, the legendary George Marshall - and I say legendary because he was a World War Two hero - asked Ben-Gurion to wait. He said that there was time. However, Ben-Gurion did not wait, he decided to declare the establishment of the country. Prime Minister Levy Eshkol also upheld this duty during the waiting period in 1967, when the stranglehold around Israel grew tighter. On the eve of the Six Day War, he sent Abba Even to the White House to ask the United States to fulfill the written commitment they gave Israel when it withdrew from the Sinai in 1956 and open the Straits of Tiran. President Johnson asked Abba Even to wait. He was told that it was not the time. More than that, they told him, "If you act alone - you will stay alone." However, Eshkol upheld his duty and he acted.
Finally, in 1981, that same duty guided Menachem Begin as he faced the question of the Iraqi nuclear reactor. He was well aware of the international criticism that would come, including, by the way, from our friend, the United States and President Reagan. He knew there would be such criticism if we acted to destroy the Iraqi reactor. However, he did his duty and acted. Let me tell you, my friends, with time it became clear that our relations with the United States not only were not harmed, they grew even stronger.
We would prefer that Iran abandon its nuclear program peacefully. Everyone prefers this, and of course, so do I. However, the duty I am charged with is to defend Israel's independent ability to defend itself against any challenge.
I presented the example I just gave you to my hosts in Washington, and I believe that the first goal I set, to strengthen the recognition of Israel's right to defend itself - I think that goal was achieved.
The second goal of my visit, to raise Iran's nuclear armament to the top of the international community's list of priorities - I believe that goal was also achieved. I would like to clarify to you that this is not the result of one visit. I have been acting to this end, together with my colleagues here,
methodically for over 15 years. I have always believed that an Iran armed with nuclear weapons would pose an existential threat to Israel and a serious threat to the well-being and security of the entire world. I warned against this threat even when it was not popular to do so, and even when it was unacceptable - when many leaders in Israel and around the world preferred to ignore Iran's nuclear program and its repercussions.
There were those who believed, and probably still believe, that an agreement with the Palestinians is the solution, that it would lead to a solution of the Iranian problem. As if an agreement with Mahmoud Abbas would stop the centrifuges. Let's make a deal and the centrifuges will stop spinning. Whoever wants to believe this can do so, but he is simply burying his head in the sand.
There are many reasons to come to an agreement with the Palestinians: because we want peace; because we want calm; because I do not want a binational state. However, thinking that an agreement with Abbas will stop Iran and its satellite states - this is a dangerous illusion. I must admit
that some people excel at illusions.
I had just returned from Washington, and I heard several members of Knesset and others say, "It is very good that you raised the issue of a nuclear Iran to the top of the international community's list of priorities. But look - it is the Palestinian issue that is exploding in our faces."
Understand, the dominant factor that motivates these events in Gaza is not the Palestinian issue. The dominant factor that motivates these events in Gaza is Iran.Gaza equals Iran.
Where do the missiles come from? From Iran.
Where does the money come from? From Iran.
Who trains the terrorists? Iran.
Who builds the infrastructure? Iran.
I have said this many times: who gives the orders? Iran.
Gaza is a forward operating base for Iran.
I heard some people say that a third- or fourth-rate terrorist organization is acting against a million citizens in the State of Israel. That is not true. Iran is operating against us. I hope that if not all, at least most members here and the public understand that the terrorist organizations in Gaza - Hamas and Jihad, as well as Hizbullah in Lebanon - are taking shelter under an Iranian umbrella.
Now imagine what will happen if that umbrella becomes nuclear. Imagine that behind these terrorist organizations stands a country that calls for our destruction and it is armed with nuclear weapons. Are you ready for this? I am not ready for this! And any responsible leader understands that we cannot
let this happen - because of nuclear terror and the nuclear threat, but also because of the strengthening of conventional terror and the firing of missiles at us. A Prime Minister of Israel cannot entrust the ability to act against this threat to others.
I know there are people who claim that I am terrifying people. I heard those same people say exactly the same thing when my colleagues and I warned them against the Disengagement, when we said that Gaza would become an enormous terrorist base - they said I was terrifying people then as well. I resigned from the government because I was not prepared to be a part of that Disengagement. When I said they would fire missiles from Gaza on Ashkelon, Beer Sheva and Ashdod, they said we were sowing panic. They said a unilateral withdrawal would lead to a breakthrough in peace. Well, where is
that breakthrough? What peace?
We dragged the entire country into the mud, and we are dealing with a situation that was created as a result of the Disengagement. We, unlike other people, are dealing responsibly and with discretion with this problem, and we will eventually resolve it, just as we are resolving the other problems we inherited. We will resolve them too.
They brought Iran into Gaza - we will remove Iran from Gaza. We did not bring Iran into Gaza - you brought Iran into Gaza!
Wherever we withdrew, Iran entered. We withdrew from Lebanon, Iran came in. We withdrew from Gaza, Iran came in. Some people suggest that we act in a similar manner in Judea and Samaria. Iran will come in there too. I cannot believe that there is anyone, despite your yelling, despite your objections and opposition, who does not understand that we cannot repeat this same
mistake a third time.
I believe that perhaps all of you, with certain isolated exceptions, understand that we cannot repeat this mistake. If we come to an agreement with the Palestinians, we must ensure that our security foundations are sound and that Iran cannot enter the territory. We also know that when we warned that this would happen in Gaza and that a unilateral withdrawal would lead to this exact result, some people ignored those warnings, and today we know the results. We also know that we cannot agree to this for long. Our enemies must know that, at the end of the day, Israel will not accept an
Iranian base in Gaza. Sooner or later, Iran's terror base in Gaza will be uprooted.Hmmmm......Unknown to them, they are heading for eternal judgment, they think they are coming to make war against God, but they are being gathered for judgment. ~ Isaiah 13:6-8.Read the full speech here.
Shoot First Ask Questions Later, Pentagon unveils new tool for crowd control.
A sensation of unbearable, sudden heat seems to come out of nowhere -- this wave, a strong electromagnetic beam, is the latest non-lethal weapon unveiled by the US military this week.
"You're not gonna see it, you're not gonna hear it, you're not gonna smell it: you're gonna feel it," explained US Marine Colonel Tracy Taffola, director the Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate, Marine Corps Base Quantico, at a demonstration for members of the media.
The effect is so repellant, the immediate instinct is to flee -- and quickly, as experienced by AFP at the presentation.
Taffola is quick also to point out the "Active Denial System" beam, while powerful and long-range, some 1000 meters (0.6 miles), is the military's "safest non-lethal capability" that has been developed over 15 years but never used in the field...................Until Obama came along?
It was deployed briefly in Afghanistan in 2010, but never employed in an operation. To be used in mob dispersal, checkpoint security, perimeter security, area denial, infrastructure protection, the US military envisions a wide array of uses.
And in a bid to avert accidents, Taffola said the operator's trigger, in a truck far from the action, has an automatic shut-off after 3 seconds for safety."This provides the safest means and also provides the greatest range," he said. The Pentagon has not yet decided to order any of the ADS system, but Taffola said they would be ready if asked.
Hmmmm......Obama signs anti-protest Trespass Bill.
Only days after clearing Congress, US President Barack Obama signed his name to H.R. 347 on Thursday, officially making it a federal offense to cause a disturbance at certain political events — essentially criminalizing protest in the States.RT broke the news last month that H.R. 347, the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011, had overwhelmingly passed the US House of Representatives after only three lawmakers voted against it. On Thursday this week, President Obama inked his name to the legislation and authorized the government to start enforcing a law that has many Americans concerned over how the bill could bury the rights to assemble and protest as guaranteed in the US Constitution.
Under H.R. 347, which has more commonly been labeled the Trespass Bill by Congress, knowingly entering a restricted area that is under the jurisdiction of Secret Service protection can garner an arrest. The law is actually only a slight change to earlier legislation that made it an offense to knowingly and willfully commit such a crime. Under the Trespass Bill’s latest language chance, however, someone could end up in law enforcement custody for entering an area that they don’t realize is Secret Service protected and “engages in disorderly or disruptive conduct” or “impede[s] or disrupt[s] the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions.”
Although the G-8 Summit originally scheduled for Chicago this spring would have made much of the Windy City a protected area where crimes could easily be tacked on to arrested protesters, the event was moved this week to the presidential retreat at Camp David. In turn, many have suggested that the White House is only going out of their way to limit protesting rights. While a Chicago summit would have meant the Trespass Bill could have been enforced in the same area where thousands of demonstrators were expected to protest, moving the event to a heavily fortified rural location will instead deter protesters from likely coming close atto the meeting at all.
And before you forget, the president can now detain you for getting too close to his front yard, order your assassination if the country considers you a threat and lock you away for life with no charge if you’re alleged to be a terrorist. You, on the other hand, can’t yell obscenities at Newt Gingrich without risking arrest.Read the full story here.HT:BarracudaBrigade.
Dante's Divine Comedy Should be Banned Due to its "racist, homophobic, anti-Islamist and anti-Semitic." character.
Dante's Divine Comedy Should be Banned Due to its "racist, homophobic, anti-Islamist and anti-Semitic." character.(Telegraph).The classic work should be removed from school curricula, according to Gherush 92, a human rights organisation which acts as a consultant to UN bodies on racism and discrimination.
Dante's epic is "offensive and discriminatory" and has no place in a modern classroom, said Valentina Sereni, the group's president.
Divided into three parts – Hell, Purgatory and Heaven – the poem consists of 100 cantos, of which half a dozen were marked out for particular criticism by the group.
It represents Islam as a heresy and Mohammed as a schismatic and refers to Jews as greedy, scheming moneylenders and traitors, Miss Sereni told the Adnkronos news agency.
"The Prophet Mohammed was subjected to a horrific punishment – his body was split from end to end so that his entrails dangled out, an image that offends Islamic culture," she said.
Homosexuals are damned by the work as being "against nature" and condemned to an eternal rain of fire in Hell.
"We do not advocate censorship or the burning of books, but we would like it acknowledged, clearly and unambiguously, that in the Divine Comedy there is racist, Islamophobic and anti-Semitic content. Art cannot be above criticism," Miss Sereni said.
Schoolchildren and university students who studied the work lacked "the filters" to appreciate its historical context and were being fed a poisonous diet of anti-Semitism and racism, the group said.
It called for the Divine Comedy to be removed from schools and universities or at least have its more offensive sections fully explained.
The remarks prompted Italian cultural associations, actors who have performed the epic and even gay groups to rush to the defence of the poet.It was wrong to judge Dante by the standards of today, said Giorgio Rembado, the president of an Italian head teachers' association."Works of literature need to be placed in the historical context," he said.Banning the Divine Comedy would be "senseless".
Franco Grillini, the head of Gaynet, a gay rights' organisation, said the suggestion that Dante's writings should be prohibited marked "an excess of political correctness".Hmmmm......I can think of a few Anti-Semitic works myself, that i would like to see banned.Read the full story here.

- Four of 19 large U.S. banks fail stress tests.(Rawstory).Citigroup was one of four large US banks that flunked stress tests aimed at seeing how they would hold up in a new economic crisis, Federal Reserve data showed Tuesday.Three others — Ally, Suntrust and MetLife — also failed the tests, while 15 other large bank holding companies passed the exercise, the Fed said.“Overall, four of the 19 BHCs have one or more projected regulatory capital ratios (including capital distributions) that fall below regulatory minimum levels at some point over the stress scenario horizon,” the Fed said. The Fed said the overall positive results for the 19, in the aggregate, “reflects a significant increase in capital during the past three years.Read the full story here.
- U.S. E-Voting System Cracked in Less Than 48 Hours.(H-Online).Researchers at the University of Michigan have reported that it took them only a short time to break through the security functions of a pilot project for online voting in Washington, D.C. "Within 48 hours of the system going live, we had gained near complete control of the election server", the researchers wrote in a paper that has now been released. "We successfully changed every vote and revealed almost every secret ballot." The hack was only discovered after about two business days – and most likely only because the intruders left a visible trail on purpose. The researchers conclude that it is generally difficult to build secure online voting systems. One small configuration or implementation error would undermine the entire voting process. Even if central servers were not used, which would be prime targets for hacking attempts, there would still be a number of other points of attack. Fundamental advances still need to be made in security, they say, before e-voting will truly be safe.Read the full story here.
- $55,500,000 !(AlexanderMunch). The 16-year-old girl, named as Amina Filali, ate rat poison after a Tangier court which was supposed to be punishing her 26-year-old attacker decided that they should instead be wed. This is because Moroccan laws exempt a rapist from punishment if he agrees to marry his victim.Traumatised by the rape and the forced marriage, Moroccan newspaper al-Massae said she committed suicide at her husband's house.Last year Afghan 21-year-old Gulnaz was jailed for 'adultery by force' after she was brutally raped by her husband's cousin. Her attacker was jailed for seven years for the crime that left her pregnant.A global outrage saw the President of Afghanistan personally pardoning her and releasing her from Kabul's Badam Bagh jail, with no pre-conditions.Just to clarify the bible on Deut 22:28-29, It states that the man is required to pay compensation (50 silver Shekels!) for the victim and MAY marry her!... (i.e. he has the option to ask for her hand in marriage should he chose to set things right - to some extent). Certainly different to suggesting that the woman is FORCED in any way to marry the man such as in the Amina Filali case.Read and see the full story here.

Syria - Assad's troops plant landmines along border to stop refugees fleeing to Turkey: official.(AA).(TheDailyMail).As the Syrian revolt entered its second year on Thursday, around 1,000 refugees crossed into Turkey in one day, Turkish officials said.
Turkey said 1,000 refugees had crossed into Turkey from Syria in the last 24 hours, bringing the total of registered Syrian refugees in Turkey to some 14,000.An official said: “We expect this to continue as long as the operation goes on in Idlib.”
Troops have planted landmines along routes used by people trying to flee President Bashar Assad's regime, it has been claimed.Activists said government forces laid the banned weapons, which they fear will hurt citizens for 'years to come', in areas close to the Turkish border.
The shocking new tactic was revealed as it was confirmed Syria would be sending a team to this summer's Olympics in London, and they will compete under the existing national flag.
New York-based Human Rights Watch's Steve Goose said the mines were planted in the past few days, and added: 'Any use of anti-personnel landmines is unconscionable.
'There is absolutely no justification for the use of these indiscriminate weapons by any country, anywhere, for any purpose.'
The continuation of violence came as the International Olympic Committee today said a small group of Syrian athletes could qualify for the Games.
The United Nations estimates that more than 8,000 people, mostly civilians, have died in the fighting. Some 230,000 Syrians have been displaced from their homes, including 30,000 who have fled abroad, raising the prospect of a refugee crisis.
In Syria, the official media announced that government forces had cleared “armed terrorists” from the northwestern city of Idlib and said supporters of President Bashar al-Assad would hold rallies across Syria.
But opponents of Assad’s regime show no sign of backing down and there were reports of continuing clashes in areas around Idlib, as well as close to the central city of Homs, which has been pummeled by the army in recent weeks.
Syrian state television said there would be a “Global March for Syria” to honor those killed by the rebels and video footage showed crowds gathering in a central Damascus square.
The government has blamed foreign powers and “terrorists” for the chaos and say 2,000 soldiers have died in the conflict.Assad confidently predicted at the start of 2011 that Syria was immune from the “Arab Spring,” in which the autocratic leaders of Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Yemen were swept from power.
But on March 15, a few dozen protesters braved the streets of Damascus to call for more freedom. Days later riots broke out in Deraa, on the border with Jordan, to protest against the torture of local boys caught writing anti-government graffiti.
Syrian forces are carrying out more than 30 types of torture on prisoners, a report claims.
Amnesty International said civilians held by security forces in the crackdown on anti-government protests were being horrifically abused. The torture methods include crucifixion-type beatings, electric shocks and rape, according to a report based on accounts from Syrians who had fled to Jordan.
A contact in Deraa told Reuters most schools and shops in the main commercial area were closed on Thursday, with hundreds of security forces patrolling the streets. State employees were being ordered to stage a pro-Assad rally, residents said.
A coalition of 200 human rights watchdogs urged Russia to back U.N. action to end the bloodshed in Syria, in a joint statement issued on Thursday marking one year since the violence erupted.“A coalition of 200 NGOs from 27 countries... is demanding that the U.N. Security Council immediately unite and pass a resolution calling on the Syrian government to stop indiscriminate shelling of civilian neighborhoods and other violations of international law, stop arbitrary arrests and torture and grant urgent access to humanitarian workers, journalists and human rights monitors,” the statement said.
The call for the international community to “Unite for Syria: Stop one year of bloodshed” was backed by activists across the world, as well as celebrities including British actor Stephen Fry and Canadian singer Nelly Furtado.
“For a full year, the death toll in Syria has escalated to the horrifying total of more than 8,000 dead, including hundreds of children. Isn't it time for the world to unite behind effective steps to stop this now?” said Ziad Abdel Tawab of the Cairo Institute for Human Rights.
The Institute signed the statement along with the New York-based Human Rights Watch, Christian Aid, CIVICUS and the International Federation of Human Rights.
“Russia and China have twice blocked Security Council action, a defense of Assad that he has interpreted as a licence to kill,” said Kenneth Roth, executive director of Human Rights Watch.
“Moscow and Beijing should stop providing diplomatic cover for Syrian atrocities, and start demanding an end to indiscriminate shelling and attacks on peaceful protesters,” he said, quoted in the statement. The NGOs called on the U.N. Security Council to demand the Syrian regime stop shelling protesters; urged the international community to back envoy Kofi Annan; demanded humanitarian access to areas in need of aid; and appealed for the “Friends of Syria” coalition to uphold its aid pledges.Read and see the full story here.More here.
NASA: Our only Solar Storm warning satellite ACE ‘could falter soon’ – Coincidence or Cover-Up?(TTBTS).NASA: A US satellite that offers the only advance warnings of incoming solar storms is more than a decade past its expected orbital lifetime and is possibly on its last legs, researchers say.
Stationed around 1 million miles from Earth. NASA’s Advanced Composition Explorer satellite, nicknamed ACE, cautions about incoming high-energy particles from the sun which can wreak havoc on radio, GPS, satellite communications that are now embedded in modern life.
“It would be a very bad day for us if that spacecraft was not working,” the Discovery News quoted William Murtagh, program coordinator for NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center in Boulder, Colo., as saying.“When an eruption occurs on the sun, there are still quite a few question marks as to if it’s going to hit the Earth and when it’s going to hit the Earth,.”
Until the sun’s free-flying and highly energetic outbursts, known as coronal mass ejections, hit the ACE spacecraft, forecasters are not acquainted with the orientation of their embedded magnetic fields.
Depending on the polarity, or alignment, Earth’s magnetic shield will either peel away, giving the highly charged particles more freedom to disturb electrically sensitive equipment and communications, or rebuff the particles, like what happened during this week’s outburst.
NOAA has asserted that over 22,000 utility operators, airlines, satellite owners, GPS users and others are signed up to receive space weather alerts and millions more get the information on NOAA’s website.“ACE is a single point of failure and it’s old,” Murtagh said.“Every time I have a space weather storm I cringe a little bit that our very own space weather satellite doesn’t succumb to the storms I’m relying on it to help forecast.”
Another satellite with space weather sensors was slated to be launched in 2003 by the doomed shuttle Columbia crew, but the spacecraft, known as Triana, was nixed by the Bush administration as it was supported by former vice president and Democratic presidential nominee Al Gore.
Gore championed the spacecraft for its ability to incessantly relay live pictures of Earth from the vantage point of 1 million miles away in space, in hopes that the global view of the blue planet would rally environmental awareness.“There were no technical reasons why it couldn’t go. We were getting ready to send it the Cape (Kennedy Space Center) for launch and we got an order that the mission was not going to go,” project scientist Adam Szabo, with NASA’s Heliospheric Physics Laboratory at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland, said.
After its ride was called off, Triana was put into storage at Goddard. It is presently undergoing checkouts and refurbishments in preparation for rebirth as NOAA-operated space weather sentry.
Launch is targeted for June 2014. The sun’s 11-year solar cycle is expected to peak in May 2013!!
Heightened solar activity, which is ramping up this year, will carry on for nearly the next six years.
NASA Issues 2012 Warning
NASA, along with The National Academy of Science and other world renowned scientist are so concerned about this up and coming solar maximum in late 2012, that way back in March 10, 2006 NASA issued a solar storm warning for 2012.
Then in 2010, NASA again warns the general population of a pending solar storm, telling the population to get ready for a once in a lifetime solar storm
And Astrophysicist Alexei Dmitriev further supports NASA’s original 2012 solar storm warning issued back in March of 2006.
Dmitriev: “Our sun, as well as our entire solar system, is now moving into an interstellar energy cloud and as this interstellar energy cloud continues to excite/charge the sun, it causes the sun to become more active, resulting in greater output from the sun. IE: Bigger and more frequent solar storms and CME’s resulting in the Carrington effect. This interstellar cloud of electrical energy is also absorbed by the Earth, and Scientist have found that it results in more earth quakes, all while dramatically effecting our weather here on earth”.Read the full story here.

Saudi Arabia shuts embassy in Syria, withdraws staff as death toll mounts.(AA).Saudi Arabia has shut down its embassy in Syria and has withdrawn all its staff and diplomats, the foreign ministry announced Wednesday in a statement carried by state news agency SPA.“Due the developments in Syria, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has shut down its embassy in Damascus and withdrawn all its diplomats and staff there,” said the statement.
Saudi Arabia, which has repeatedly pressed for world action against Damascus and called for rebels to be armed, was one of six Gulf monarchies to expel Syria’s ambassadors and withdraw their own in February. At least 8,500 people, most of them civilians, have been killed since the uprising against Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad began in March 2011, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring group.
The Syrian Revolution General Commission reported that 77 people killed by security force gunfire across Syria on Wednesday, according to Al Arabiya. On the ground, Noureddin al-Abdo, an activist in Idlib, confirmed the rebellious city in northwestern Syria had fallen on Tuesday night after a four-day assault by regime forces. The outgunned, rebel “Free Syrian Army (FSA) has withdrawn and regime forces have stormed the entire city and are carrying out house-to-house searches,” said Abdo, reached by telephone from Beirut. The army launched a major offensive in Idlib province near the Turkish border on Saturday, bombarding the city and sweeping into rural areas in a bid to root out armed insurgents.“We must document the evidence so that those guilty of crimes may be held responsible, whatever it takes,” Cameron, who held talks at the White House with U.S. President Barack Obama, told reporters at a joint press conference.“We should be clear, what we want is the quickest way to stop the killing,” he said, adding was needed in the country was a “transition rather than revolution or civil war.”Obama also called for world leaders to speak with one voice against the regime in Damascus.“The best thing that we can do right now is to make sure that the international community continues to unify around the fact that what the Syrian regime is doing is unacceptable,” Obama said.“It is contrary to every international norm that we believe in and for us to provide strong support to continue to talk to the Russians, the Chinese, and others about why it is that they need to stand up on behalf of people who are being shelled mercilessly,” he said.Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Wednesday criticized Assad for the “big delay” in reform in Syria, saying Damascus was failing to swiftly follow Moscow’s advice.
Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao called for an immediate truce and for protection of civilians, adding: “China respects the legitimate aspirations of the Syrian people for change and for the pursuit of their own interests.”Read the full story here.
Obama says window for diplomatic solution with Iran ‘shrinking’.(AA).United States President Barack Obama on Wednesday warned Iran that the window for diplomacy to solve a nuclear showdown was “shrinking,” encouraging Tehran to seize the opportunity of talks with world leaders to avert “even worse consequences.”“In the past, there has been a tendency for Iran in these negotiations to delay, to stall, to do a lot of talking but not actually move the ball forward,” Obama said at the White House.“I think they should understand ... that the window for solving this issue diplomatically is shrinking.”“We will do everything we can to resolve this diplomatically but ultimately we’ve got to have somebody on the other side of the table who is taking this seriously and I hope that the Iranian regime understands that,” he said.
Speaking at a press conference with British Prime Minister David Cameron, Obama sent the public message to Iran as preparations went ahead for a new round of dialogue between global powers and the Islamic Republic. But the talks came amid rising fears of a military attack on Iran, possibly triggered by Israel.Iran has maintained its nuclear program is peaceful, and will be used for civilian purposes but the United States and its allies have been concerned that Tehran wants to build a nuclear weapon.Obama also said that a punishing new set of sanctions on Iran would “begin to bite even harder this summer” and would further hurt Tehran’s economy.Hmmmm....Sanctions that Bite.....Turkey is doubling it's trade with Iran, you know Obama's "Trusted partner" Erdogan.Read the full story here.
MK Eldad tells US: Prepare for Jordan's King Abdullah’s Fall.(INN).MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) told U.S. Ambassador to Israel Dan Shapiro on Wednesday that the plan for two countries west of the Jordan River has reached a dead end.
Eldad advised him to talk to his higher-ups in Washington about the need to develop an alternative plan, with an emphasis on opportunities that will open up when Hashemite rule in Jordan ends, and Jordan will become the Palestinian nation state.Previous statements on the subject by Eldad caused anger in Jordan.
Shapiro was the guest of the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. When reporters asked him about Jonathan Pollard, who has been languishing for more than 25 years in an American jail for passing secret information to Israel, Shapiro said he does not want to speculate in the matter and does not know how the matter will be resolved.
MK Meir Sheetrit (Kadima) wanted to know why MK Michael Ben-Ari failed to receive a U.S. entry visa while Iran's Mahmoud Ahmedinejad and Hamas officials are allowed in, Shapiro answered that he does not deal with these matters,.Read the full story here.
U.S. Marines Asked to Disarm Before Leon Panetta Speech.........."Who Cut their pay again"?(MSNBC)In a highly unusual move, around 200 U.S. Marines were asked to leave their weapons outside the tent where U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta was set to speak during his trip to Afghanistan on Wednesday.
Although the military said the order was not given in response to Sunday’s shooting of 16 Afghan civilians allegedly by an American soldier, it possibly underlined how high tensions were running after the incident.“You’ve got one of the most important people in the world in the room,” Major General Mark Gurganus told reporters at Camp Leatherneck, dismissing concerns related to the shooting. “This is not a big deal.”
He said he had given the order because the two dozen Afghan soldiers also there were unarmed and he did not want to treat them differently.According to reporters at Camp Leatherneck, the Marines were waiting to hear Panetta’s speech when they were abruptly told by their commander to get up, leave their weapons, including M16 and M-4 automatic rifles and 9 mm pistols, outside and return unarmed.“All I know is I was told to get the weapons out,” Sergeant Major Brandon Hall told The New York Times. Asked why, he replied, “Somebody got itchy, that’s all I’ve got to say. Somebody got itchy; we just adjust.”Hmmmm........Yup cutting their pay is easy.....Getting shot at is a whole different ballgame?Read the full story here.
Jeremiah Wright Endorses Anti-Semitic 'March to Jerusalem'.(Breitbart).President Barack Obama’s longtime pastor at Trinity United Church, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, has announced his support for the anti-Semitic “March to Jerusalem” at the end of March. The White House has refused comment.
The “March to Jerusalem” is a massive campaign designed to send anti-Israel partisans across Israel’s borders and into Jerusalem. The National Conference on Jewish Affairs reports Iran's government is involved in the organization of the event and plans to send thousands of participants in caravans, whose schedules have been published by the Quds News agency.
As the Anti-Defamation League has pointed out, the Facebook page for the group features “worldwide Jewish lobby news”; when you click for such nefarious news, you’re directed to a website pushing Holocaust denial. The Facebook page is also virulently anti-gay, condemning Tel Aviv for its gay-friendly policies and stating that such policies are part and parcel of “historical Jewish efforts to spread corruption and perversion among all human societies.”
Does Jeremiah Wright still matter? Of course. These are the sorts of folks Obama has spent a lifetime palling around with and learning from. And no amount of throwing-under-the-bus can change Barack Obama’s history of anti-Semitic associations.Read the full story here.

Muslim Brotherhood Raps Obama for Insulting Egyptian Nation by Praising Netanyahu.(Fars). A senior member of the Al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun (Muslim Brotherhood) party lambasted US President Barack Obama for praising Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's cooperation in the freedom of the US suspects who were accused of financial corruption in Egypt, and called Obama's words an insult to the Egyptian nation. "Obama's appreciation for Netanyahu is somehow a conspiracy and provocation by the US," Yasri Ta'lib told FNA on Wednesday.
"The US administration's appreciation for the Zionist regime is meantime an insult to the Egyptian nation and Egypt's national sovereignty," he added.
"Of course, the US administration had insulted the Egyptian nation one more time already, and that was when it thanked Ikhwan al-Muslimun for the release of the US suspects", which was aimed at creating a rift between the Egyptian people and Ikhwan al-Muslimun, he added.
Many Egyptian politicians and officials have blasted those behind the freedom of the US suspects. The US detainees were accused of providing financial backup for specific entities in Egypt in a bid to hijack the Egyptian people's revolution or, at least, bring a pro-US candidate to power in the upcoming presidential election in the Arab African nation.
Also last week, Basineh Kamel, a senior politician and a likely candidate in the coming presidential election in Egypt, said that the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) has released the US suspects who were accused of financial support for the Arab country's civil entities to prove its royalty to Washington. Speaking to FNA, Kamel said SCAF plans to reinvigorate its presence on Egypt's political and decision-making scenes and it, thus, needs to fortify its position. To the same end, SCAF is seeking to consolidate its ties with the White House to have the US company. "SCAF sought to prove its loyalty to the Americans, and thus it freed all the American detainees in violation of all rules." She described foreign organizations' financial backup for national entities in Egypt as the most bothering insult to the Egyptian Judiciary system, and said the SCAF has sold the entire nation by embarking on such a move.
Many Egyptian revolutionary figures have lashed out at the SCAF for its weak performance in governing the country, and underlined the necessity for the transfer of power to a civil government. Read the full story here.
‘This is hell,’ French war surgeon speaks out of carnage in Syrian city of Homs.(AlArabiya).French surgeon Jacque Beres who recently returned to Paris from Syria describes the bloodbath he saw there as among the most horrific he has ever witnessed in his 40 years of work in war zones.Beres spent 12 days in the besieged city of Homs in February after smuggling himself in, setting up a makeshift hospital in a private residence in the battered neighborhood of Baba Amro.
He operated on 89 people, many of whom he says were the elderly, women and children. He was able to save most, but nine died on the operating table and another two within a day.
“The light was horrible, just a bulb hanging from the ceiling, and the water was scarce,” the 72-year-old French surgeon and co-founder of Doctors without Borders told the Toronto Star. “There was so much dust in the air, and it would go into the open wounds of patients.”“This is hell” said Beres on Tuesday at a meeting of human rights activists in Geneva. “It’s mass murder. It’s totally unfair. It’s unjustifiable”
Beres, who has worked in warzones including Iraq, Rwanda and Chechnya, said that the people in Homs lived in despair despite their gratitude to journalists for reporting their plight to the world.
“They say it’s good that you’re thinking about us, but they said it doesn’t give us food, medicine or weapons.”“The people who are dying are not terrorists, they are ordinary people who deserve their freedom,” Beres told the Star.
In Homs, which is a key flashpoint in the uprising, Assad’s snipers have become a widespread threat with decaying bodies littering the streets.“We couldn’t treat head or chest injuries at all,” Beres said. “We had to just pass on them because they were so risky. It was just possible to manage abdominal and limb injuries.”“The game is over in Homs,” he said. “It has become impossible for the time being to do something in that area.“But the world needs to not forget them. We need to keep sending journalists and humanitarian people to bring pressure on this dictatorial regime.”Read the full story here.
Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America Cautions Muslims Against Participating in American Legal System.
Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America Cautions Muslims Against Participating in American Legal System. (TranslatingJihad).Below is my translation of an Arabic-language paper published by the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA) in 2007, and presented at their 2008 careers conference in Houston, which provides guidelines for American Muslims on what they can and cannot do vis-à-vis infidel legal systems. The paper makes clear that according to Islam, the only legitimate law is that which comes from Allah, and in fact authority to make laws rests with Allah alone. This renders every other legal system—including the American system—illegitimate.
Since the fact nevertheless remains that many Muslims do live under such ‘infidel’ legal systems, the paper provides guidelines for how they should act under these systems, specifically addressing issues such as Muslims studying man-made law (i.e. non-Islamic law), Muslims governing under infidel legal systems, Muslims working as judges or lawyers or prosecuting cases in infidel courts, and Muslims granting powers of attorney to non-Muslims in disputes. Throughout the paper it is made abundantly clear that Muslims should view the American and other non-Muslim legal systems as infidel systems, and that they are only to participate in them in specific circumstances in order to benefit Islam and Muslims generally. They are specifically instructed to feel hatred in their hearts toward such infidel legal systems, and to do everything within their power to make the Islamic Shari’a supreme, even if that means engaging in deception in certain cases.
It is important to note that AMJA--whose stated purpose is to "clarify the rulings of the sharia which are relevant for those who live in America"--is not just a fringe organization with no influence. The Islamic scholars involved with this group occupy influential positions in universities, Islamic centers, and mosques throughout the United States. Below is a list of some of their prominent members, along with the names of universities and other organizations with which they're affiliated, as accessed from AMJA's website:
