• 9/11, a 2061 Memorial.On the 60th anniversary of 9/11 memorial service, president of the United States of America, Hussein Ali, delivered an uplifting speech at the Cordoba House mosque at ground zero in lower Manhattan. • Muslim leader detained in anti-Christian attack.Indonesian police confirmed that Muharli Barda, the notorious leader of the Islamic Defender Front (FPI) in Bekasi, has been detained for his role in an anti-Christian incident that occurred on 12 September. Police also said that nine other people were involved, but did not disclose their names.The incident in question occurred last Sunday when a Protestant clergyman, Rev Afian Sihombing, was attacked. He is the head of a Christian community in East Pondonk Bekasi Regency. He is currently in hospital with multiple stab wounds to the stomach. Rev Luspida Simanjutak was also injured during the attack, with wounds to the face, head and back. She and Rev Sihombing lead the Huria Batak Kristen Protestant.A top FPI national leader Munarman slammed the anti-Christian attack and said that the group would punish any FPI member found guilty.“We shall evaluate if Muharli Barda was involved or not. • Massive fish kill reported in Louisiana.What you see above isn't a rural gravel road. It's a Louisiana waterway, its surface completely covered with dead sea life -- a mishmash of species of fish, crabs, stingray and eel. New Orleans CBS affiliate WWL-TV reports that even a whale was found dead in the area, a stretch of coastal Louisiana hit hard this summer by oil from BP's busted Gulf well."We can't continue to see these fish kills,'' Nungesser said in a statement. Danish blogger Uriasposten did some digging and pegs him as Lors Doukaiev.Belgian boxing trainer Albert Syben from Liège says he trained the man. Syben worked for several years for the Belgian police. When he understood that his former student in the Boxing Club Cocktail was responsible for an explosion in Denmark, his immediate response: "It doesn't surprise me".Syben says L.D. learned architecture and that's he's not lacking in intelligence. He says that according to L.D.'s girlfriend, he went to Luxembourg last week and since then she can't contact him. • Hu Jintao blesses the succession to Kim Jong-il.The dictator of North presented his third son Kim Jong-un, as his chosen as successor to lead the country, to the Chinese president during a surprise trip to China in August. The appointment must be ratified by the Congress of the North Korean Workers Party, which could begin today. Thus begins the "third generation" of Kim in power in Pyongyang.North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il has seemingly received Chinese support for his decision to appoint as his heir and successor, his third son Kim Jong-un, thereby ensuring a third generation of Kim in power in North Korea.
